The Norwegian-Latvian joint venture Gripsteel Ltd, has successfully completed its first year of operation
The company’s ownership is structured as follows: 61% by "Griptel" and 39% by "Power Service." Its board consists of three members: Bjordal Pal (Griptel, NO), De Vibe Ditlef (Griptel, NO), Kristaps Bleija (Power Service, LV). The CEO role is held by Ēriks Miklašēvics (Power Service, LV).
The decision to establish a production facility was driven by the need to meet growing demand from the telecommunications sector and other industries in Scandinavia. "Griptel" has been a long-standing export partner of "Jauda," and this joint venture, along with the new production facility, has further strengthened their collaboration, enabling the production of high-quality products for telecommunications and related industries.
Located in Ķekava at VGP Park, "Gripsteel" operates a production and warehouse space of 3,000 m². The facility is equipped with advanced machinery, including a Bystronic laser cutter and bending machine, a Jaespa Concept band saw, and a Fronius Transteel 4000 welding machine. An experienced technical team ensures that all products meet industry standards, from initial design and development to final delivery.
"Gripsteel" currently employs 23 people and offers a complete metalworking cycle, except for galvanizing and painting. Its products are primarily used in the telecommunications and energy sectors, with ongoing efforts to design and manufacture items for other industries.
